DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

What UAE Federal Supplier Register (Ministry of Finance) asks for.

  • Trade License

    CriticalRequiredVerified evidence

Trade licence issued by any UAE economic development department, or a free zone licence. Required for domestic, free zone, foreign and SME supplier types alike (freelancers submit a freelancer licence instead). Must be valid and not expiring within 30 days. Registration is free of charge, takes 30 working days, and the applicant must hold a UAE PASS account.

  • VAT Certificate

    HighRequiredVerified evidence

FTA VAT registration certificate showing the 15-digit TRN. Named explicitly for Domestic and Free Zone suppliers; foreign suppliers submit an equivalent "Tax registration certificate" from their home jurisdiction. Entity name must match the trade licence.

  • Signatory ID (Emirates ID / Passport)

    HighRequiredVerified evidence

Passport copy of the company owner as identified on the trade licence. The owner named on the passport copy must be the owner named on the licence — a mismatch is the most common rejection cause on this register. Freelancers submit the owner passport copy alongside the freelancer licence.

  • Corporate Tax Registration

    MediumPreferredVerified evidence

UAE Corporate Tax registration certificate / Corporate Tax Registration Number issued by the Federal Tax Authority via EmaraTax. Registration is federally mandatory for all juridical persons under Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022 (deadlines per FTA Decision No. 3 of 2024; AED 10,000 late-registration penalty), and entities incorporated on or after 2024-03-01 must register within 3 months of incorporation. Listed as PREFERRED rather than required because this specific portal has not been confirmed to demand the certificate in its submission pack — the obligation to hold one is federal, the obligation to upload it is portal-specific. Note the Corporate Tax registration number is distinct from the VAT TRN. For the Federal Supplier Register specifically, the published list names a VAT registration certificate rather than a Corporate Tax certificate, so this remains advisory here.

This is a starting point, not a live feed from UAE Federal Supplier Register (Ministry of Finance). Portals change their requirements without notice, and unverified/inferred items above are exactly that — not confirmed against the portal's own current published list. Always cross-check against UAE Federal Supplier Register (Ministry of Finance)'s current requirements before submitting. If you have the portal's own requirement document, SoulMen can extract and verify against exactly what it says instead of this starter checklist.
